About SaferSmart Zones

Safer outcomes startwith better information.

SaferSmart Zones is a public-safety technology organization. We help communities understand dangerous roadway behaviours, validate what is actually happening, and make better decisions about where and how to act.

Who we are

Built around real public operations.

Technology should fit the way an organization already works. A program that requires the organization to reorganize around the software does not survive contact with a real operations team.

  • Defined rules — agreed per zone before deployment
  • Review workflows — mapped to who actually holds the decision
  • Evidence organization — structured for the next step in your process
  • Infrastructure flexibility — designed to work with cameras you may already operate

Experience

Experience built forcomplex public environments.

SaferSmart Zones is a newer name. The problem it addresses is not, and neither is the team’s experience with it.

Our people have worked in transportation technology and public-sector deployment long enough to know where these projects usually fail: not in the software, but in the distance between legacy street infrastructure and the modern systems an organization is being asked to adopt.

  • Operating region — Canada and the United States
  • Software-led, hardware-agnostic platform
  • Authorized human review on every decision

Mission

We believe that SaferSmart Zones™will play a pivotal role in creating safer and more efficient urban environments for everyone.

Our goal is to make streets safer and transportation systems more efficient through secure, AI-powered infrastructure.

SaferSmart Zones™ transforms existing and new camera infrastructure into an intelligent safety network. The platform uses real-time AI analysis to detect events, generate video and photo evidence packages, deliver actionable data, and help municipalities, transit authorities, and law enforcement operate more efficiently.

Beyond automated enforcement, SaferSmart Zones™ provides real-time public safety alerts. Authorized agencies can create hotlists for specific license plates associated with Amber Alerts, Silver Alerts, BOLOs, stolen vehicles or plates, and other priority events. When a connected camera detects a match, the platform can immediately issue an email, SMS, or system notification.

AI-powered search can also identify vehicles based on defined characteristics—such as a red Ford F-150—extending detection beyond known license plates.

From dedicated bus and bicycle lanes to vehicle registration, pedestrian crossings, and public safety alerts, SaferSmart Zones™ gives agencies one intelligent platform to automate detection, accelerate response, strengthen enforcement, and make better use of limited resources.

Team

The people behindthe program.

We are driven by an experienced leadership team focused on turning intelligent infrastructure into measurable public impact.

Our approach

Four things we hold to.

01

Data before decisions

Understanding the problem comes before choosing a response. A program built on an assumption is a program that will be argued with — by council, by the public, and eventually by a court.

02

Technology with purpose

Every deployment is tied to a defined challenge in a defined place. We are not interested in monitoring for its own sake, and neither are the organizations we work with.

03

Awareness that connects

What a program observes can inform how a community is spoken to about it. Awareness is not a consolation prize before enforcement — it is often the part that changes behaviour.

04

Action with confidence

When an organization acts, it should be able to show why. Validated information and a reviewable record are what make a decision defensible after the fact.
